Indian Model Sheetal Menon

Here’s another weekly treat for our readers. Short of their vital stats, we’re telling you some super-interesting things about Indian fashion’s hottest models. And better still, we’re throwing in a ringside view to these ramp scorchers. Closer than most will ever get. Go ahead. Say you love us!

SHE IS: Sheetal Menon (though a numerologist has suggested she add a ‘T’ between her first and last name)

BACK TO THE BASICS: Because her father was in the Army, Sheetal has lived all over the country. Her most recent move has been from Nashik to Mumbai, where she currently lives with her mother.

YEARS ON THE RAMP: 2

THE ASSIGNMENT SHE’D MOST LIKE TO TOM-TOM: Bagging a spot in the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar 2005. And as you can see, she has good reason to be happy with that shoot…

RAMP CATASTROPHE: Sheetal’s catwalk debut was made at Lakmé India Fashion Week in 2003. “It was really chaotic. LIFW is hard work, involves sometimes up to four shows a day and many, many changes. I was part of Aki Narula’s show and I refused to go up twice, because I was convinced the outfits would fall off,” says Sheetal. “It’s not my proudest moment as a model!”

IF SHE WEREN’T A MODEL: Then perhaps she would explore a career as a classical dancer.

THE NEXT STEP: She is already doing an acting course with Anupam Kher, so films are her future.

Sheetal Menon is all set to follow the time-honored corridor of Ramp to acting.

Supermodel Sheetal Menon is making his debut through ‘Bhram’, which has two more models Dino Morea and Milind Soman in it, along with them are some established names in acting arena like Simone Singh and Chetan Hansraj.

Bhram is fabrication of Magna Films, directed by Pavan Kaul, Screenpaly has been given by Bhavani Iyer and music by famous music composer Pritam.

Shooting of this film has started and is due for release by this year end
