FORMER beauty queen Parmita Katkar (no relation to Kimi) joined the item bandwagon in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Page 3, and claims Kuaan Maa Doob Jaaoungi has the makings of another Babuji.‘‘It’s very folksy like Yana Gupta’s song, but the styling and choreography are global.’’ This is not the 24-year-old’s first sizzler. She did Ishq Sarfira Hota Hai for Pankaj Parashar’s Inteqam but she’d rather forget it. ‘‘It’s not the best thing I’ve done. I did it some two years ago and have no recollection of it.’’ That apart, she plays the lead in three films: Kachchi Sadak, Love Ke Chakkar Mein and Husn (if you’ve read our cover, you’re a pro on the genre). And don’t confuse the last one with Meghna Naidu’s film. ‘‘This Husn is totally different,’’ she says. In her latest, Katkar—Miss India Asia Pacific 2003—tries on a ‘‘Beyonce look’’ and flaming hair. Can’t wait to see if we’ll want to leap into that well after her.
