BACK TO THE BASICS: Though she was born in Dubai, Candice has lived in Mumbai all her life. She three siblings, who all work in airline-related jobs.

THE BIG BREAK: Came when she won the Gladrags Mega Model title in 2000, while still in college.

YEARS ON THE RAMP: Just over 4 years.

THE ASSIGNMENT SHE’D MOST LIKE TO TOM-TOM: Winning the Miss Tourism International in 2002 and then being picked to model for Lakmé India Fashion Week two years in a row.

RAMP CATASTROPHE: While walking the ramp for Tarun Tahiliani at Milan Fashion Week, the shoes she was given to wear just came apart. "It was such an important assignment and I just had to keep going, even though one shoe had broken. So I walked, holding the straps together with my toes and praying no one would notice!"

THE LAST TIME SHE GOT DRUNK: "It’s been ages," she says, rather diplomatically.

HER TOP BEAUTY SECRET: Working out four times a week.

SHE’S MOST GUILTY ABOUT EATING: Nothing at all. "I eat everything except red meat," she confesses.

IF SHE WEREN’T A MODEL: She’d be a film animator.

THE NEXT STEP: “My plans usually don’t go as planned,” she laughs, “so I have stopped planning. Now I live for the day and wait for things to fall into place on their own.”
