The younger sister of yesteryear actress farha. She started off as a teenager with the dev anand movie Hum Naujawan , which is more or less a rape revenge 80's movie.
After some really crappy movies like Pehla Pehla Pyaar , Saajan Ki Baahon Mein, etc where she just had to get into some wierd costumes and shake her booty she did her Maachis and that started her foray into artsy cinema (with the off bad movie comming in like the one where the ghost molests her.. bah the name doesnt matter)
Also did some crap down south.
Mira Nair's Namesake does look pretty intresting.
