Anjali_Bhimani

Anjali grew up in Orange County, CA, and moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University. After graduating with a degree in Theatre, she appeared in several shows directed by Mary Zimmerman and worked extensively with the Lookingglass Theatre Company. She appeared regionally in productions of Pentecost, the Odyssey, Arabian Nights, Mirror of the Invisible World, and more during her years as a Chicago resident. In 2001, she moved to New York City with the off-Broadway and Broadway productions of Metamorphoses at Second Stage Theatre and has since appeared on Broadway in Bombay Dreams as well as off Broadway in shows at the Barrow Group, The New Victory, Second Stage, and the Union Square Theatre. She has been fortunate enough to collaborate with such highly acclaimed artists as Mary Zimmerman, Tony Kushner, and Maurice Sendak. Most recently, she is appeared as Evie in the U.S. premiere of The American Pilot at MTC. In January, Anjali will play Safia Hayward in the world premiere of D. Tucker Smith’s The Great Game.
