Her contemporaries were slotted into one bracket zeenat aman & parveen babi were mostly considered for more westernized roles, while rekha was comming up the ladder, though she mostly had a lot of bmovies to her credit. Hema was one of the few who could be a razia sultan as well as a night club dancer like in naseeb & everything in between. And at her peak was considered the most beautiful of them all , the dream girl as they say. And the lady could act !!She could do comedy as good as anyone in movies like satte pe satta & also could play the tragedy queen as well as anyone. Her onscreen pairing with dharmendra is legendary & the chemistry they shared on the screen can be matched by few if any.And throughout her career on screen & off it hema malini has been a model of grace & dignity. At her peak all the leading actors of that era fell flat for her be it jeetendra, sanjeev kumar & even a much married dharmendra whom she eventually settled down with. And even at a ripe age, hema malini still looks very beautiful. If you look at other actresses of her generation many of whom have shied away from public life you will know how good hema malini really looks even today.
