Raghav (born Raghav Mathur, April 2, 1981) is a Canadian R&B singer, noted for his use of Hindi lyrics and influences from Indian music. His family comes from Uttarpradesh, India; but Raghav was born in Toronto and grew up in Calgary. He speaks French, English and Hindi fluently. Raghav studied Indian classical music with Guru Nishi Kant Bali and later was educated at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts after meeting Paul McCartney. He joined the R&B-band 11/7 and met Jamaican producers Sly & Robbie and British producer Mushtaq who produced parts of his debut solo album, "Storyteller". Raghav received a MOBO award for his collaboration with 2Play, and has scored three UK Top ten hits to date.
