Priyamani has become a marketable star of late with lot of actors / producers demanding her to be in the movie. 'Paruthiveeran' was screened in the 9th Osian Film Festival in New Delhi and Priyamani adjudged as the best actress with the movie also being adjudged the best film of the year and was india's entry to the Berlin 58th International Film.
