Barkha Bisht - The Courtesan

This is something which has completely disappeared from hindi movies post 90's , and out went the mujra songs as well , used to intice someone poor rich guy by the tawayaf or to signify the pain , the suffering of love. Made infamous by the padma khanna's & mina t's of hindi cinema, the mujra came more in the limelight after rekha did them by the dozens. Barkha Bisht tried to capture much of that essence in a stage show recently & i must add she did an admirable job.

Barkha Bisht - Telly Babe

Barkha Bisht has done extensive amount of tv shows (Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, Kavyanjali, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, Pyar Ke Do Naam Ek Raadha Ek Shaam, Doli Saja Ke, etc) however none have been able to capture this dusky beauty in all her charms except ZOOM TV. Barkha hosts popkorn 'sometimes' , mostly it is hosted by shilpa keswani though. Wish they alternated between her or better still had a new host for the show everyday.
